Yes, we exchange larger tanks! We exchange 20lb, 30lb, 40lb, 100lb, and forklift tanks!
An EXCHANGE TANK is when you exchange your empty tank for our full one. A SPARE TANK is when we give you a full tank without picking up an empty tank from you.
No, you do not need to be home for delivery. When you place your order with us you will choose a location around your home on our orders page so that our delivery technicians will know where to exchange or drop off your propane tank.
Our delivery technicians deliver Monday through Saturday, and typically start their routes around sunrise and end their routes by nightfall. Please leave your tank out for exchange in their pre-determined location by 7 am on the day of exchange.
Orders placed by 9pm CST will be considered as placed the same day. Orders placed after 9pm CST will be considered as placed the next day.
If you forget to leave your tank out on the day of exchange, we will automatically reschedule the delivery for the next standard delivery day to your area. We charge a small $7.00 fee since it requires us to make a second trip out to your location.
All orders cancelled before 24 hours of the scheduled delivery day will be refunded without penalty. Orders cancelled within 24 hours will be charged a $5 cancellation fee. Once an initial delivery attempt is made to your location we will be unable to cancel your order.
There are two different valve types on 20 lb bbq propane cylinders. Type I (most common) has the valve that you would SCREW your connection on to until it is completely tightened. Type II (typical on Weber grills from 1999-2001) has the valve where you would pull a ring back that allows you to PUSH your connection into place. After doing so you would release the ring which will then snap back into place ensuring that the connection is completely tightened.
